Fans, including WDVE’s Randy Baumann, took to Twitter to voice their complaints. “Some folks just parked on the freeway too, wild night!” “Definitely had to abandon the ride about two miles away from the venue and walk,” wrote Mike Lotenero. Many had no choice but to leave their vehicles on the side of the road just to be able to make it into the concert. “Been to hundreds of shows and this is by far the worst situation I’ve ever seen. Three of those hours were within the last two miles to the venue,” explained Bill Stiner in a comment. “Four hours to get there from Pittsburgh.
In a post with almost 300 comments on the Dead & Company’s Facebook page, concertgoers did not hold back in expressing their frustration with the traffic situation getting to the venue. Dead & Company returned to the Pittsburgh area on Monday night for a show at the Pavilion at Star Lake near Burgettstown.Īlthough fans enjoyed the band’s fifth trip to the area since 2016, they did not enjoy the traffic.
